Educator Films at IMAX Theater

The World Golf Hall of Fame IMAX Theater offers a full schedule of films Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 12 to 6 p.m. For a listing of films and show times please call the group sales department at (904) 940-4010.

This awe-inspiring documentary narrated by Daryl Hannah will take your students from the dazzling coral reefs of the Bahamas to the warm depths of the Kingdom of Tonga to learn about the surviving tribes of the ocean. Students will see wild dolphins and belugas, witness the profound love of a Humpback mother to her newborn calf, and meet the mighty King of the ocean, the Orca – in an unforgettable diving experience that documents the life of these graceful and majestic endangered species.

Dinosaurs Alive! | Opens Sept. 3 | Grades 3 and Up | Educator's Guide
Your students will go on a global adventure of science and discovery as they join American Museum of Natural History paleontologists to uncover evidence that the descendents of dinosaurs still walk and fly among us. Along the way, your students will learn about dinosaurs from a large range of time periods, from the earliest dinosaurs of the Triassic Period to the monsters of the Cretaceous. Through the magic of computer-generated animation, these newly discovered creatures, and some familiar favorites, will come alive in a big way – on the largest IMAX® screen in Northeast Florida.

Ocean Wonderland | All Ages | Educator's Guide
Join your friendly host, Aris the Turtle, on a tour of the magical and beautiful, yet endangered and fragile world of coral reefs. Students will visit coral reefs from Australia's Great Barrier Reef to the Bahamas and learn about the vast biodiversity that relies so heavily on the habitat and food the reef provides for so many fish species. Students will enjoy astonishing visual and sensorial adventure in this larger than life diving experience.

Space Station | Grades 2 and Up | Educator's Guide
Students blast off into space with the astronauts and cosmonauts from Florida's Kennedy Space Center and Russia's Baikonur Cosmodrome to rendezvous with their new home in orbit 220 miles above Earth. It is the story of the greatest engineering feat since landing a man on the Moon: the on-orbit assembly of the International Space Station. Now people of every age and language can work side by side with their space-walking crewmates, building and inhabiting this unprecedented structure in space.
